LOF News

LOF is excited to announce the dates for our annual Soaring with the Eagles Day Camp! This will be a 3-day water sports camp designed for visually impaired and blind children to be held June 21st-23rd. This year we have expanded our reach by offering accommodations to those not located in the immediate area. We hope to make this year our biggest yet!

The Sunshine Splash Event in Orlando was a great success! On April 9th & 10th, LOF Adaptive Skiers hosted a large event on Lake Ivanhoe in Orlando, Florida. Over 35 skiers participated along with 14 volunteers, some of which traveled all the way from Connecticut for the event. We are hoping to hold another event in Orlando the weekend before Thanksgiving as well as in April 2017. The city of Orlando helped sponsor the Sunshine Splash and is enthusiastic about us coming back! Stay tuned for more information on future events. Huge success at Edmond Town Hall this weekend, where we hosted a fantastic benefit for LOF Adaptive Skiers on Saturday night. Over 90 people attended to enjoy great food and a performance by Echoes of Sinatra, starring Steven Kazlauskas. We would like to extend a huge thank you to Tony and June Gallucci along with Bob and Peg Kaufman for organizing this event.

Congratulations to John Marano, the winner of Saturday night's 50-50 raffle. John generously donated his half of the winnings to LOF. Big thanks to John and all who came out to support LOF this weekend!
